I go to the gym for run, that is to say an hour-long run. The keen-eyed among you will notice that I have failed to do the marathon again this year.
I get back to find a relatively-new-to-London crafty, Jesus, waiting outside, wondering if he’s got the right place. I sometimes wonder the same thing. I said 2:00, he was early, I was late.
Then Elisa arrives and we have a chat followed by the meeting. There is much sitting around and chatting, but some good work. Jesus mentions that it’s good to feel the connection that comes from the resonance even of something as simple as the Second Primary, and he’s right. Crafty music has a particular flavour to it, and on hearing (or playing it) one immediately connects. Jesus will be at San Cugat this summer, too.
In the evening there’s a gig with the jazz group at the Three Stags. My playing isn’t up to much, I think, but then I’m trying not to get in the way of the other guitarist (I wasn’t going to be able to do this gig, but when it transpired that I was available, they asked me along to help out. Two guitarists. Interesting challenge).
