longer-than-usual and circuitous

6:00 – Up, sit, breakfast. H goes out, I do more Giraffe bits and a font-emboldening job, then get off to Walker.

The film crews have disappeared which I think is a good thing.

So not-Maisying, then lunch, then back to work.

The Olympics opening ceremony is on a silent TV. Occasionally I look over, and it’s still going on. I didn’t realise there were that many countries in the world, let alone the Olympics.

Imagine what it’ll be like in four years, when the TV crews from all over the world turn up to a half-finished building site, Boris nowhere to be found (and apparantly thinking it’s all a tremendous success anyway) and half the teams still waiting for their baggage at terminal five.

Finish work at around 19:00 and walk home. Haru gets home just before me, having had a much longer-than-usual and circuitous trip home.

I go out and get chinese food and beer. We have dinner with the Have I Got News For You repeats on Dave.

General vegetating.
