too fast in the wrong direction on a road he wasn’t supposed to be on)

Another Maisying day. So.

The CDs of Enormous Savages have arrived, adn very fine they look too.

Afterwards, walk with Ben to RFH (Ben buys birthday presents there. Possibly on the offchance that it’s someone’s birthday, which is hugely generous), and we meet Haru, then walk up into town, get tickets for In the Loop and have dinner at Tokyo Diner, which is nice. And cheap, too.

Stop off at Fopp. I get Rocky Horror / Shock Treatment, The Wire season one and The Iron Giant.

In the Loop is excellent, and I can see why it annoyed politicians who were called upon to review it. Interesting that it’s the same actors in mostly different roles (though still the same basic characters). Anyway, very funny.

Afterwards catch 176 home. As we’re walking past the corner, an expensive car (the kind of thing that features heavily in Top Gear and hardly ever in real life), roars out of Lambeth Road – travelling in a bus lane, the wrong way – and barely misses a bus at speed. I wonder whether he’ll be caught (considering he was travelling too fast in the wrong direction on a road he wasn’t supposed to be on). Shocked to realise that a part of me wanted him to hit the bus, or at least graze that very expensive paintwork.
