The universe appears to be trying to tell me something.

Up at six, still a bit gouty, sit, breakfast, etc.
Find that the shower won’t turn off, except the power switch outside the bathroom. The universe appears to be trying to tell me something.
Today’s event is limping into Walker to be briefed Wally-wise by Ben and Dee. Also chatting and distributing Japanese chocolate, which is gratefully received. Also have to think of things to say about Japan, and (as usual) end up talking about food and making myself hungry. Sandwich with Ben, catchup with Donna and then home.
Several things I ought to have done at home, but didn’t. Hum.
H gets home and makes dinner, I listen to unfinished tracks I recorded in 2009 and plot Osos meeting.
Bed a little later than yesterday.

this year’s fortune isn’t quite as effusive as last’s

Breakfast is an osechi (a hamper, basically), prepared yesterday (we had stuff that didn’t make it into the osechi for dinner last night).

Later on, to a shrine for New Year’s (this year’s fortune isn’t quite as effusive as last’s, but then the reality of last year didn’t really live up to the fortune. Not sure whether that should make me nervous, or something else), and then buying confectionery (rice-flour jelly – sort of like Turkish Delight, but not – and anko-filled pancakes) on the way home.

Lunch is basically confectionery, then lots of TV (and I edit the video I shot this morning), then dinner – left-overs from breakfast.
