For my mealtime reading I commence The Truth by Terry Pratchett. It's a while since I read a new book of his (Wyrd Sisters was sitting on the table and I was perusing it at mealtimes, but I know it backwards and wasn't reading it in any order at all). To my surprise, I find myself laughing out loud, which I wasn't expecting - I thought I was jaded beyond greenness.

Clean the bathroom and vacuum the floors. Hurrah! Another victory for civilisation in the long battle against barbarism.

Don't make it to the gym (again).

I'm running out of food - I have to have oatcakes and cheese for lunch. Though nice, they don't really count as nutrition. Big Quorn chilli as recompense. I cooks all afternoon and I have it for dinner.

I start work on a new track - I save it before I'm ready, so it ends up being called Untitled. I think "why not? Loads of artworks are called "Untitled", often a whole gallery-full. It will eventually have a title, though, I'm sure. It has a sort of Jazzy feel. Starts with the Electric Sitar sound at 80 bpm, a slow trippy groove. Then I think that everything seems to be a slow trippy groove. Wouldn't want people to think that I'm hopelessly devoted to the Herb. Try faster speeds. Ends up at 120 bpm. The sitar riff fairly rips along. Has a nice feel to it though.

Another long call from Lisa B, trying to get her job to print, this time to a Laserwriter. We manage to get page five to print. This is some sort of victory, I suppose, albeit slight when se against the fact that 2, 4, 6 and 8 are still resolutely giving postscript errors.

Just when I think I've finished the track, I get the bright idea of adding a groovy retro moog thing to it. This keeps me going (and up) for a while.
