I get to the gym.
I speak to Peter about the possibility of his being the bass player in my band. He agrees. This thing is lurching towards reality.
I mix down versions of the songs I recorded with Katherine of the Virtuosos for Peter Cadle last week - he sent me a card with a list of all the takes he wanted to hear, so I'm writing them to disk (then I can play them in one long string to SoundApp and record them on a cassette). I experiment with different inserts - compressors, valve simulators - and mixing styles (guitar right/accordian left or both instruments being recorded in stereo, I can put both of them across the stereo spectrum). I am monitoring on headphones, though - I should listen to them over the speakers before I commit in any way.
