Which they have done.
Ben calls me to go to Walker in the afternoon, to
tidy up a couple of things on Once Upon a Time. On the way over I notice
various things: a mesage "christians party" that has been scrawled
on a wall, which probably just pointed to a shindig, but seems to be a riposte
against people who might suggest that Chrsitians are less than fun people; that
the council were considerate enough that when they were putting up a sign pointing
to the Lillian Bayliss School, they left enough room on the sign for someone
to write "is shit" comfortably. Which they have done. And a lot of
fruit on the road: in addition to the peach shown here, I saw several plums,
some orange peel and a chili pepper. I think the Chili is technically a fruit
on account of the pips, but obviously you wouldn't want to find one in your
sherry trifle.
After work, Ben comes home with me to watch Best
In Show on DVD. First he plays me some tracks he's been working on,
and I play him David Franks (mad faux-pracher from a Joe Frank episode), and
introduuce him to TrailerVision.
And eat soup.
Best In Show is a wonderful movie, very generous
to the characters (with the possible exception of the yuppy couple). The DVD
has 17 minutes of extra scenes and a commentary by Christopher Guest, which
I must watch soon.
