Back to basics - A string, 1, 1/2, 1/3 etc, then 4th primary, all the time Shinku watching like a hawk. I'm disappointed to discover that I'm still making essentially the same mistakes I did at the beginning of the course.

8:00 pm Big Circle performance
Something seemed to collapse. Partly this was due to the audience being late (due to a delayed train exactly as on the night of 'my' performance for Christian. The tension was palpable. Having so few things to play, I am able to look each potential disaster in the face. Goes alright but not gloriously: no note bummers in the circulation, but two timing bloopers (one early, with me stealing a note from Christian, another late). My part in Munsters goes glitchless but passion-free. The Courante circulation is attempted twice and twice collapses somewhere to my right. I have one bummer the second time round. I drop out a couple of notes of Peach Tree. But there was a feeling of struggle. Playing one note in this context is always more stressful than playing hundreds of notes in a normal gig.
