I'll call it progress and settle for that.
8:20 - Get up. Sitting. Breakfast. Um, stuff. I gather the Godin and VG88 and set off for Ben's.
When I arrive, having forgotten my microphone, Gerard's been there for a while and a track's been begun.
There's a call from the courier service to pick up an unwanted Macbook on Monday.
Anyway, we borrow a mic from Juan, and manage to get a couple of tracks done by the time we leave at 17:30. They're a combination of unused tracks from twenty-five years ago and whatever we do today. I wouldn't have played the sort of stuff I did today twenty-five years ago. I'll call it progress and settle for that.
Catch the number 4 back to Waterloo. I'm reminded that the problem with the cool blue shoes I'm wearing (indeed all Dr Marten footwear in my experience) is that they cut terribly into the back of my heel. I'd forgotten crippling footwear. Recent footwear has been quite good to me.
I don't get fish and chips as there's a coach party waiting for takeaway.
Get home, listen to what we recorded today (now in the hands of Ben, who's quite pressed for time), then I get takeaway sausage and chips.
Watch a couple of episodes of The Mighty Boosh series two, then Have I Got News For You and QI (times two), then Newsnight and currently Later with Jools Holland.
