cut very long and thin
Up at 8:00-ish. Breakfast.
Out to check out post office ATM (does the job but to a maximum of ¥10,000), then drop in to Haru's opticians and get half an eye test. Bookshop.
Meet with Haru's internet friend. Looking around cool shops, including the bookshop (find a copy of the edition of Hunting of the Snark that I designed all those years ago) and stuff shop downstairs, although I fail to buy stuff.
Go to the high-class cake shop, but it's full to overflowing with scary oba-chan. Go to smaller, groovier cake shop and have extraordinary cake - I have cheesecake that's cut very long and thin.
More shops and general grooving around.
Dinner at Haru's traditional and excellent Chinese place; We are ushered to the quiet upstairs room rather than the crowded downstairs room. which is nice. Superb food.
Fun meeting.
Say goodbye to internet friend and go home. I'm falling asleep where I sit, now.
