overloaded at the preamp stage
Up at 6:00, sit, breakfast, wave to H, then prepare to go to SW1 - I leave at about 8:20, arriving at 9:00, just as Phil's about to start.
Very peaceful and stress-free morning. Wonderful performances. Nothing explodes or otherwise goes wrong, apart from one track that I overloaded at the preamp stage.
To the Deli for coffee, then home on the bus. I must be careful lifting that large, heavy suitcase.
Immediately set to mixing, and manage to get the whole session and photographs uploaded (I clean up the overloaded track as best I can) by 16:30.
I buy AppleCare for the MacBook, which means I'll be using it for another couple of years, hopefully. Unless I manage to dunk it in coffee.
Walk up to Denise's new practise room to take photos for the website. However, although I have my camera and tripod and photographic light, I've forgotten the data card, which is still in the reader from this morning. Bah. Anyway, we have a nice and useful chat.
Walk home across Millenium Bridge.
H has made curry - Mmm! and after dinner I burn some CDs, package them up and take them to the postbox to send them. They won't be collected until tomorrow, but it's done now. While I'm out I visit the Sainsbury's by Waterloo station and get grapes and Clementines. As soon as I hit the self-service counter someone sidles over to help me, and I have to shoo him away, although I do spend a while wondering where to swipe the Nectar card (on the barcode reader, of course - duh!).
Home.
